| On this, the first day of setup, we rented a truck, loaded it at the Club Shed, and took everything to the Museum. We will use the Multi-Purpose Room again this year, and will run 7 days a week for 5 1/2 weeks. Today we wanted to ensure that all the modules were delivered, members' modules as the Club's. Joe C. had to work all weekend (including Veteran's Day!) so I picked up his module on the way. When I finally got to the museum, setup was proceeding well, and in fact a couple guys were already about to leave. Here are some pictures of the setup operation. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Art and Jeff are underneath attaching modules while Bob checks the plans. Must be a Maryland DOT job with all the other guys standing around! | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Jeff, Lee, and Bob are attaching legs to the club modules. In the background are several modules already upright in their approximate locations. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? - This should make for some interesting train operation! Actually Dick is just hamming it up for the camera. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| LOOK AT THOSE LEGS - Yes they look a little scrawny, but once everything's hooked up together, the whole affair is actually very stable. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| GOT IT RIGHT THIS TIME - The whole crew gets together to make sure it goes to-gether right this time. Actually there were some alignment and rail joiner issues here. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| HEAVE HO - It took some doing to get the girder bridge adjusted. Even so, there were some pieces of adjustable track that weren't sturdy enough to do the job. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| SUPPORTING THE CLUB - The Club Bridge anyway - are Lee and Joe, while Jeff attaches a bracket and Dick changes drill bits. This is where we left off at 3:45. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| LIGHT DUTY BRIDGE - Those tracks won't hold up much of a train! Actually they are a sturdy alternative to the adjustable track that was already on the bridge. | |||||||||||||||||||||
