| The club's corner modules had a number of problems, including warpage that caused derailments and track spacing too close for larger equipment. Besides that, they were just plain too big to transport and store easily. So we chose to make new ones, using two smaller modules for each corner. After a lot of preparation work by Dick Weatherby, a number of members showed up on November 6 to build the modules. | |||||||||||||
| Rick and Jim are assembling the small triangles that fit between the new modules. They also did a lot of cutting with the miter saw. | Joe cuts the plywood on one of the new modules. An assembled corner module is in the back of the photo. | ||||||||||||
| Joe and Manny are checking the fit of two of the new modules. We built 8 of them today, plus 8 triangles. Next Saturday we'll put everything together. | |||||||||||||
| Dick fits the plywood while Joe, Lynn, and Art observe. We tried to be as exacting as possible but there's always a little bit of adjusting to do. | |||||||||||||
