| CHRISTMAS LAYOUT - this is a separate layout, yes, it's S Scale, with a new type of track and lots of store-purchased Christmas decorations. | The large modular layout uses American Flyer track, Plasticville buildings, and as you will see, lots of action accessories. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Although the track has that tinplate look, many of the engines and cars are very nicely proportioned models. | Here at the sawmill, a log is guided into the blade, while the black machinery over-head loads pieces of cut lumber into the car. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This forklift shuttles around the building, fetching barrels and dumping them into the gondola car. I hope those are sturdy barrels or else there might be a chemical spill! | The barrels move up the vibrating loading ramp, the gate opens, and most of them drop into the railcar. A lot of them end up on the ground instead. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Bill pulls a car from the train. He's also a member of our club and will be running G scale trains with us later this month. | There are four types of crossing signals in this view, all working, including the wigwam on the left. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Disney Monorail glides through the Contemporary Hotel. The lighting is very impressive, and looks better as the room darkens. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This Ferris Wheel is built from a Gilbert Erector set. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
