| LAYOUT WITHIN THE LAYOUT - A very popular module is this one built by Jeff, which depicts a backyard 1/8-scale layout. It has a complete Z scale layout with three separate mainlines and engine terminal. The little folks at the picnic table are enjoying the sunny weather while a model GP35 pulls a train along the upper route. In the background is Wolverton Mountain and the Thomas-the-Tank-Engine loop. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| SHOWING OFF FOR THE CROWD - The spectators have lots of action to look at, as the Southern Pacific passenger train passes a B&O coal train, with the Pennsy freight train above them. All the Z scale trains were running very smoothly. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| FULL HOUSE - the roundhouse is full of engines at the ready. Its location is safely away from little hands. To the left of this picture are the Wolverton Mountain and trestle modules. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| WHAT GOES ON INSIDE A ROUNDHOUSE - Locomotive repair of course! Joe is fixing a G scale Mikado which received a little valve gear damage during an accident. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| OPERATING THE LAYOUT - While Joe is working on his engine in the background, Jeff and Don both have their hands at the controls. We found that whenever we started talking to one another, the trains misbehaved and tried to run into one another. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T PAY ATTENTION - While Pete was distracted, his Eggliners caught up to the freight train and ran into the caboose. This time there was no derailment but we were not always that lucky. The green gondola is carrying club pamphlets. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
