| GREAT NORTHERN - Lynn's Great Northern F3's certainly look great as they cross the trestle and enter the Wolverton Mountain Tunnel. | |||||||||||||||||
| CLASSIC ENGINE - the Santa Fe Warbonnet is a very popular paint scheme. After this engine was put away several visitors asked where it was. | |||||||||||||||||
| STEAM VERSUS DIESEL - Two massive engines are side by side on the main line. Both the 2-8-8-2 Mallet and the SD-45 are very heavy and very powerful. | |||||||||||||||||
| CLOSE CLEARANCE - The Mallet's cylinders barely clear the caboose. OK, OK,it was posed that way. Notice how the front of the engine flexes with the curve. | |||||||||||||||||
| WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS ENGINE - Notice the driver that's fallen apart. No wonder it's not running right! | I'M FEELING JUST FINE NOW THANK YOU - After a quick fix the engine is back on the main line speeding along with the Circus Train. | ||||||||||||||||
| STEAM VERSUS DIESEL, PART II - The old Ten Wheeler is no match in power and speed for the Santa Fe Super Chief. | |||||||||||||||||
| STAR POWER - The Norfolk Southern engine has a couple extra stars. Several of the cars in Art's train have similar markings, and they're not always obvious. | |||||||||||||||||
| LAYING DOWN THE SMOKE - Don loaded up this engine with lots of smoke fluid and ran it extra fast to see how well it would smoke. It sure put out a lot of smoke! | |||||||||||||||||
| FREIGHT YARD - the club's tracks are filled with trains ready to head out on the main line. Looks just like the freight yards a few miles away. | |||||||||||||||||
