ALONG FOR THE RIDE - In the box is Chris' RS3, complete with newly installed sound system.  Soon it will be out of the box and stretching its legs. BACKING ONTO THE MAIN - The New Haven RS3 carefully backs up its train through the crossover.  Naturally Chris was at the controls.
SPEEDING ALONG THE MAIN - The engine has no trouble pulling its train at a good clip, side-by-side with another train running the same direction. DOUBLEHEADER - After a while, Pete's Western Maryland RS3 joined up with the New Haven engine and here they roar across the trestle into the tunnel.
SIDE BY SIDE - The two Alcos are about to pass Joe C.'s custom painted Canton Railroad NW2.  The Canton is a switching railroad on the east side of Baltimore. PLENTY OF POWER - the two engines have no trouble pulling the tank car and string of empty hoppers.  The front engine has nice bright LED headlights.
MARYLAND PRIDE - the elements of the Maryland State Flag are proudly displayed on Joe's Canton Railroad switcher.  This is how several of the railroad's engines look. MARYLAND MY MARYLAND - This is another of Joe's custom paint jobs.  That's the Maryland State flag on the right.  Notice how it's adapted to the engine at left.
MARYLAND LOCOMOTIVE PAINT JOB - A few miles east of the museum we found this Canton Railroad switcher, proudly displaying its Maryland heritage. MARYLAND CABOOSE PAINT JOB - Canton Railroad caboose no. 2 shows off a different version of Maryland colors.  It was painted at the B&O Railroad Museum!
