| GUEST ENGINEER - This young man asked me if he could check out the inside area of the layout. Since his dad was a Navy man, I said sure, why not! | HOSTS - Dave Shackelford, Chief Curator of the Museum, smiles with Lee and Joe S. of the Mason Dixon Club, during one of the rare moments without visitors. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| SAME ROADNAME, DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS - Lee brought this B&O passenger train consisting of a USA F3 and Aristocraft Smoothside cars. | SAME TRAIN, DIFFERENT LOCATION - Lee's train stops at the Bel Air Station. Yes, there were other trains running, but my camera focused on B&O today. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| CLOSE CLEARANCE - The F3's pilot brushed against this terminal clamp every time it passed by. Instead of filing the pilot or the clamp, we let them alone. | SAME RAILROAD, DIFFERENT TRAIN - Lee's B&O Doodlebug stops at Whiteford Station. After it finished its run, Pete's coal train took over the main line. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Two manufacturers' versions of the B&O Smoothside Observation Car, Aristocraft on the left and LGB on the right. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| End views of the same cars. The Aristocraft version on the left will soon be up-graded to include clear windows, interior seats and passengers, and lowered profile. Walt has added a good number of passengers to his LGB Observation Car on the right. He says the cost adds up quickly. At this point a third brand, USA Trains, has passengers inclu-ded in its passenger cars. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
