SETTING UP THE MODULAR LAYOUT
NOVEMBER 21, 2004

There are now 3 Petes in the club, and since we're trying to keep last names out of the website, it gets a little confusing.  There's the webmaster Pete E., of the Petersburg and Charlottesville Railroad in Delaware.  Then there's Peter P. from Hagerstown, and there's his son Peter.  Anyway, the older Peter P. took these photos during the setup operation on November 21 and would like to share them with you.
LEG MEN - Bob, Jeff, and Joe assemble the legs of one of the modules.
UNLOADING - here we're unloading the rental truck that has brought the club modules from Fallston.
IT TAKES MORE THAN ONE - Judy supervises while Dick, Walt, Tom, and Jeff finish the legs.
Peter smiles for the camera as Larry, Bob, and Joe work on the trestle module.
WHICH ONE GOES WHERE? - The crew is figur-ing out where each of the backdrop panels will go.
IT OUGHTA GO THIS WAY - Dick explains to Joe his idea of how to arrange the track on the long yard modules across the back.  The yard tracks are resting on rubber shelf lining, which deadens the sound and keeps the track in place.
POP-UP - Peter pops up through the hole that will soon be covered by Wolverton Mountain
INSTALLING THE SKIRTING - Here Linda is installing the skirting which she had already cut and hemmed.  It is installed with Velcro strips.
SHARING OUR KNOWLEDGE - Joe shows Peter how we're installing the yard tracks.  We had several spots where we had to make custom-cut pieces of track.  Pete was very helpful during the setup and we're glad he could join us.
SO WHERE DO WE PUT THE SCHOOLBUS? - Jeff, Sonny, and Walt are figuring out one of those last-mute details.  Soon the whole setup will be done.
