NIGHT OPERATIONS AT JOE'S
October 12, 2004
Before the Board Meeting, several of us showed up early to run trains on Joe's new layout.  Here the trains are posed for the photographer, a B&O Mikado, Pete's RDC, Joe's RDC, and an EL 44 tonner.
The B&O passenger train overtakes the Reading RDC.  Shortly afterward the RDC left the main line for a run on the inner loop.  The trackwork is very smooth, using #6 turnouts and wide-radius curves.
EXTREMELY LOW CLEARANCE - No way could the Budd Car squeeze under this bridge!  The railroad is still under construction, and Joe hasn't finished elevating this part of the railroad yet.
IN THE GLOW OF THE HEADLIGHTS - The Budd Car's headlights are nice and bright, and lit up the bridge ahead very nicely.
BOARD MEMBERS HARD AT WORK - By 7:30 everyone had arrived and checked out the trains before going inside for the meeting.
