FIGHTING SNOW ON THE P&C RAILROAD
JANUARY 22, 2005
A snowstorm of up to 12 inches was predicted for Northern Delaware, and it started at 10 AM.  The Eggliner plow was brought in to clear the line as soon as the snow covered the tracks.
The snow looks like a waterfall as the plow pushes it off the trestle.
By 12 noon the snow was getting tough to plow.
By one o'clock the snow was falling hard and the plow could not keep up.  After this photo was taken, the railroad suspended operations.
This is what the station looked like by 5:30.  By the time the snowfall ended, we had about 8 inches of the white stuff.  Tomorrow's forecast: bitter cold and high winds.
