GREAT SCALE TRAIN SHOW LAYOUT OCTOBER 14-15, 2006

Art,Walt, Don, Bob, and Joe are chatting on the other side of Box Mountain while Bob's Western Maryland Challnger speeds by on the main line past the Mason Dixon tank car and boxcar.

During Friday night's setup, Don put together this interesting track for Thomas.  The junction looks very complicated but in reality it's just a crossing with two siding switches.  The train's route was on the straight side of each turnout.

Walt brought his LGB Orient Express to run on Sunday afternoon.  He said even though the sound is really loud at home, you could barely hear it hear at the show!

Here's a closeup of the high-tech road running through the middle of the layout.  Look closely and you'll notice it's just the bare concrete floor between two sections of carpet. Art took a piece of chalk to make the dashed lines in the center of the highway.
