GREAT SCALE TRAIN SHOW - OCT. 2006 - PAGE 2 [home]
Joe C.'s B&O diesels were pulling a long train past Bob's WM Challenger.  Until I got there that is.  He and Angel were in the process of packing up their train, and in reality the engines are only pulling a flat car and caboose!
THE BABY'S PRETTY FACE -  Bob's Challenger was bearing down on the camera and I had just seconds to take the picture and get out of the way!
The Challenger eases past Art's diesel engines, showing off its incredible detail.
LOOK AT THE OVERHANG - The Challenger's articulation shows well in this photo.  The front drivers are following the curve while the huge boiler stays straight with the rear drivers.  This is actually the "correct" way, at least the way the railroads did it, with the boiler attached to the rear driver set and the hinge located between the two sets of drivers. Maybe it looks weird, but it works!
