LAYOUT AT GREAT SCALE TRAIN SHOW FEBRUARY 3 & 4, 2007

This was the scene as I arrived on Sunday afternoon - a big crowd formed around our layout.  You'd never know it was Superbowl Sunday!

Different angle, same trains, same crowd.  Those chairs wre filled most of the afternoon.  Apparently Saturday had even more spectators!

Joe, Marie, and Angel watch from the table as we take a photo from trackside.  Joe has a pair of Pacifics pulling that train, both with the sound cranked up!

Joe's analyzing the track problem on the outer main. Bob S. was running his USA Hudson, also with sound.  Joe says it's the sound that attracts the crowds!

The Pacifics speed past the Hudson on the main line.  The Pacifics were pulling a reefer train, with a last minute shipment of beer for the Superbowl.

Art had set up this interesting scene where the logs had gotten loose.  Nobody was hurt in the accident, but railroad management was really mad about it!

For some reason there are a number of Texaco trucks gathered around the Esso tank farm.  Esso's predecessor Esson has just announced its highest profit in history..

New member Bob H. (our third Bob) joins Art, Carl, Barb, and Joe at the table.  It's getting late, and it  won't be long before everything gets taken down and put away.

While Joe and Angel put away trains, Carl is just setting up.  In the foreground Bob is bolting the Hudson to its base, a great way to transport a heavy engine.

These folks stayed to the very end - 4:00 - Just before the trains were put away and we took down the layout.  By 5:09, everything was in the trucks and on the road.
