BUDD IN THE SNOW

JANUARY 23, 2005

The day after the storm was cold and windy, but that didn't stop the P&C's manage-ment from digging out the railroad.  This time we used a full-size snow shovel to get the basics and then got out the trusty Budd Car.  In this first view we see the Budd Car coming round the mountain made of snow.

Since it was alsready scooting along at a good clip, we decided to let it try to push the snow off the trestle.  It did a super job:

But then it hit a drift and got stuck:

When it got freed, it backed off the drift and here's what the front end looked like:

It was getting cold, and the Eagles game was about to start, so it was time to drive back onto the Budd Tote and go inside to the nice warm house.
