EAST COAST LARGE SCALE TRAIN SHOW

LAYOUT PICTURES

Here's a few pictures from some of the fine layouts at the show this year.  Sorry, I didn't have time to see them all, or even write down names of the modelers and the clubs.  This is the best I could do in one quick runthrough.   Hopefully this will give you an idea of some of the excellence that was on display today.
A Cascade Green BN GP-30 speeds by on the main line.  I believe those stripes are from a Boston and Maine F unit The embers of a recent forest fire are still glowing and there's still plenty of smoke.  The smoke was constantly changing with the slightest breeze.
PRAIRIE DOG TOWN - The prairie dogs were constantly bobbing up and down. FISHERMAN - His fishin pole was bending up and down with the pull of a nice catch.
SWEEPING CURVES - The nice wide radius curves look terrific and the trains looked good running on them.
I believe this big coaling dock was a prize winner in last year's Model Contest.  It really looks good in place on the layout.
FREIGHT YARD - This is one of the largest freight yards I've ever seen on a modular layout.  The string of loaded hopper cars has been banged around a lot!
BEAT UP HOPPER - It takes a special person to take a perfectly good hopper car and dent, melt, cut, mangle, and weather it.  But the result is spectacular.
SAM 'N' ELLA DINER - be careful what you eat here! The Toonerville Trolley is about to wobble down that wild and crazy track!
