FALLSTON SNOW -  After a snowstorm in early 2004, an Accucraft K-27 and its train negotiate the high trestle on Dick and Judy's layout in Fallston, Maryland. Their home (as well as this trestle) was built on the former roadbed of the historic Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad.

Inside the house is a ceiling-mounted railroad where two trains can run independently on single track, using automatically con-trolled switches and sidings.

SPRING IN FALLSTON - The spring flowers are blooming as the Maryland and Pennsylvania train passes behind the farmhouse at Dick and Judy's layout.
BUDD LIGHT - Pete's Budd car lights up the Delaware snowbanks in the wee hours of January 24, 2004.  This Budd Car has visited garden railroads around the country.
TRAIN IN RAIN - immediately after a heavy rain, a local freight approaches Honey Haven Station on Pete and Charlotte's "Petersburg and Charlottesville Railroad."
HIGH AND DRY - the Orient Express runs along the walls in Walt and Marie's recreation room. The track is mounted on a nicely finished and stained shelf up near the ceiling where it's out of the way.  At one spot it tunnels through the wall behind the fireplace.
A B&O passenger train passes Pete's Budd Car and a GE switcher at Joe's layout in Bel Air.  The layout was barely a few weeks old when this photo was taken.
